My Philosophy
You may come into sessions feeling a mix of emotions, some of which can feel overwhelming, unpredictable, or even unsafe to face on your own. Together, we create a space where those feelings can be expressed openly, without judgment. Over time, this space allows you to process your experiences, feel validated, and begin building healthier ways to cope.
I recognize the courage it takes to reach out for support, especially during difficult moments in life. I approach each session with genuine presence, empathy, and respect for your story. By listening deeply and meeting you where you are, I aim to create a supportive environment where you feel heard and understood. From there, we can explore practical ways to help you navigate and cope with what you're going through.
How I Approach Support
My approach is collaborative and centered around you. We begin at a pace that feels comfortable, focusing first on creating a sense of safety. From there, we work together to process your experiences and reconnect with yourself in meaningful ways. I draw from a range of evidence-based practices to tailor our work to your unique needs.
Approaches may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and other integrative methods.
